Job description

As Production Scheduler, you will be responsible for controlling and developing end-to-end Machine Shop and Assembly planning processes.

What You'll Be Doing
  1. Use IFS software to control and develop end-to-end machine shop and assembly planning processes.
  2. Load and capacity planning of Machine Shop and Assembly Area. Schedule multiple operations including machining, subcontracting, inspection, and assembly.
  3. Develop and maintain useful status reporting of key performance indicators (KPIs).
  4. Maintain predicted completion timing of each operation and final predicted shipping timing for the full order book.
  5. Analyze and present data to enable logical improvement identification and decision-making.
  6. Interact with all departments to ensure all system (IFS) inputs are correct and understood.
  7. Ensure the load and available capacity by resource is always up-to-date for medium- and long-term planning decisions.
  8. Ensure all departments are working towards the same priorities, with clear and achievable completion targets.
  9. Liaise and plan for the Stephenson Gobin India manufacturing facility.
  10. Raise and close all work orders to enable efficient daily and weekly planning of the Machine Shop and Assembly area.
  11. Ensure data accuracy of product routings and timings.
  12. Optimize planning to drive OEE improvement.
  13. Challenge current methods and practices using data to continuously improve business efficiencies.
Who We Are Looking For
  1. An experienced and motivated Production Planner, ideally with a background in engineering or manufacturing.
  2. Strong understanding of planning systems and MRP, with experience working closely with internal and external supply teams in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with ERP systems is essential; knowledge of IFS is advantageous.
  3. Good understanding of machine and assembly processes, and confident use of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  4. Keen eye for detail, highly organized, and capable of managing multiple tasks under pressure and tight deadlines. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential, as is the ability to work well as part of a team.
  5. Enthusiastic, positive, technically minded, proactive in problem-solving, and determined to improve processes.
