Job summary

G MASS Consulting is seeking a mid-to-senior business analyst with SFTR and capital markets experience to support client engagements on regulatory reporting remediation. You will translate between business and regulation, map source data to SFTR specs, and guide back-reporting activities for multiple institutions.

Qualifications

• Mid-to-senior business analyst experience in capital markets with regulatory reporting change exposure.
• Hands-on SFTR expertise including scope validation and data mapping.
• Experience in front or middle office securities finance and able to discuss product sets with authority.
• Remediation work driven by audits and regulator notifications is highly valued.
• Strong BA discipline: scoping, gap assessment, requirements docs, QA/UAT.
• Familiarity with multiple OMS systems across client base is helpful.
• Regulatory reporting exposure across EMIR/MiFID/MiFIR or CFTC/SEC regimes.
• Proven ability to produce client-ready BRDs, test scripts, and analysis summaries.

Responsibilities

• Act as SFTR SME on client engagements, providing hands-on business analysis.
• Scope issues identified via audits and establish true exposure.
• Lead back-reporting exercises, correcting and resubmitting historic transactions.
• Support regulator notification preparation and responses to inquiries.
• Engage clients on securities finance products and translate into reporting obligations.
• Validate scope against ESMA guidance for each client’s universe.
• Analyze client source datasets to determine attributes for SFTR reporting.
• Map client data artefacts to SFTR spec, identifying gaps and ambiguities.
• Lead workshops with client stakeholders to resolve data gaps.
• Prioritize data elements with the client and document analyses and recommendations.
• Produce BRDs and test scripts built around client scenarios.
• Provide SME summaries of engagement activity and outcomes for distribution.
