Job summary

Expedia Group is seeking a Salesforce Marketing Cloud Solutions Engineer to design, implement, and maintain Marketing Cloud solutions, enhancing our communication capabilities for campaigns across channels. This role requires hands-on expertise with AMPscript, GTL, SQL, and REST/SOAP APIs, and involves collaboration with marketing, data engineering, and product management.

The position is a 3‑month contract with 2–3 days onsite in London.

Qualifications

• Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud is required; Data Cloud experience is a plus.
• Proficient in AMPscript, GTL, and SQL.
• Experience with REST and SOAP APIs is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is a plus.
• Strong marketing knowledge and ability to analyze campaign data.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong verbal and written communication; able to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Collaborative team player with cross-functional experience.

Responsibilities

• Solution Design and Implementation: Develop and implement scalable solutions within Salesforce Marketing Cloud to meet business requirements.
• Integration: Work with various data sources and systems to ensure seamless data flow into Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
• Campaign Management: Support the design, execution, and optimization of marketing campaigns across multiple channels (email, SMS, push notifications).
• Customization and Development: Customize and extend the capabilities of Salesforce Marketing Cloud through Scripting, automation, and API integrations.
• Data Management: Ensure data integrity and proper data handling within Marketing Cloud, including audience segmentation and data synchronization.
• Performance Monitoring: Monitor and optimize the performance of marketing campaigns and Salesforce Marketing Cloud instances.
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including marketing, data engineering, and product management to deliver comprehensive solutions.
• Support: Provide technical support and troubleshooting for Salesforce Marketing Cloud-related issues.
