Job summary

First Choice is recruiting on behalf of our client, an international clothing manufacturer and retailer, for Production Operatives with sewing production experience. The role is based in Castleford with hours 6:30–15:30 Monday to Thursday and finishing at 11:30 on Fridays.

Previous sewing experience is essential, and a sewing assessment will be conducted. Applicants should have at least 1 year of Industrial Sewing Machinist experience, be flexible, accurate and able to maintain production

Qualifications

• Industrial sewing machinist experience (especially lockstitch machines).
• Strong work ethic.
• Flexibility.
• Accuracy and attention to detail.
• Experience: Industrial Sewing Machinist: 1 year (required).

Responsibilities

• Follow instructions and monitor work practices to ensure that products are made to agreed specifications.
• Adhere to quality procedures following quality guidelines.
• Ensure continuous production is maintained.
• Operate equipment and machinery in a responsible manner, in line with Health and Safety Policy.
• Maintain hourly work output paperwork.
