Job summary

Allscreens Nationwide Ltd in Sutton-in-Ashfield currently seeks an experienced Overlocker Sewing Machinist to join our manufacturing team. You will be responsible for producing high-quality textile products, ensuring stitching and finishing meet our exacting standards.

We value reliable, hardworking individuals who can work independently or with colleagues to hit production targets. The role offers temp-to-perm progression, Monday to Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm, paying £13.28 per hour.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience operating industrial overlocker sewing machines.
  • Experience within a textile, upholstery, or garment manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production setting.
  • Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
  • Able to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Reliable, hardworking, and committed to achieving production targets.
  • Keen to learn new skills and develop within the business.

Responsibilities

  • Operate industrial overlocker sewing machines to manufacture and finish textile products.
  • Produce high-quality stitched products in line with customer specifications and production targets.
  • Inspecting materials and completed items to ensure exceptional quality standards are maintained.
  • Accurately following work instructions, patterns, and production guidelines.
  • Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
  • Identifying and reporting any machine faults, material defects, or quality concerns.
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues across production departments to meet deadlines and customer requirements.
  • Adhering to all Health & Safety procedures at all times.
