Job summary

Syntech Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Sewing Machine Operator to join an innovative engineering and manufacturing business based in Harwell, Oxfordshire. This position would suit somebody with previous industrial sewing machine experience who enjoys hands-on production work and takes pride in producing high-quality finished products.

The role focuses primarily on sewing machine operation and fabric assembly within a specialist manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Previous sewing machine operation experience.
• Experience using industrial sewing machines would be advantageous.
• Good attention to detail and quality standards.
• Ability to follow work instructions and manufacturing processes.
• Reliable and able to work independently when required.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Operate industrial sewing machines safely and efficiently.
• Carry out sewing and assembly of specialist textile products.
• Perform overlock stitching and other sewing techniques as required.
• Follow manufacturing instructions and work orders accurately.
• Inspect finished products to ensure quality standards are achieved.
• Support production targets and deadlines.
• Maintain a clean and organised work area.
• Report any machine faults or quality issues to the production team.
• Follow all health and safety procedures.
