You will join a water quality-focused regulatory team of specialists enabling strategic change within the water sector, particularly focusing on storm overflows.
Working proactively with Environment Agency teams and external organisations, the role will lead the development of audit processes for water quality investigations under the Storm Overflows Assessment Framework and Environment Act. You will also develop training courses on Urban Pollution Management (UPM), respond to technical queries, and coach staff on sewerage and water quality investigations.
We’re a dispersed team working with various teams across the country involved in water industry regulation and water quality planning.
Responding to incidents is a central part of our work. You may have the option to take on an incident response role, which could include additional payment and full training to support you.
This position is part of the Water Quality Regulatory Development team in Water Industry Regulation. The team is dispersed nationwide. The successful candidate must be able to work independently while maintaining effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.

Office base location is flexible, with occasional travel or overnight stays required.
