A leading environmental organization seeks a specialist to join their water quality regulatory team. The role involves developing audit processes, creating training courses, and coaching staff on water quality investigations. Ideal candidates will have a relevant degree and experience in environmental regulation, with a focus on collaboration and strategic change.

You will join a water quality-focused regulatory team of specialists, driving strategic change within the water sector, especially concerning storm overflows.
In this role, you will work proactively with Environment Agency teams and external organizations to develop audit processes for water quality investigations under the Storm Overflows Assessment Framework and Environment Act. You will also be responsible for creating training courses on Urban Pollution Management (UPM), responding to technical queries, and coaching staff on sewerage and water quality investigations.
Our team is dispersed nationwide, and you will collaborate with various water industry regulation and water quality planning teams. Responding to incidents is integral to our work; you may opt to have an incident response role, which could include additional pay and training.
This position is part of the Water Quality Regulatory Development team within Water Industry Regulation. The team operates across the country, and the successful candidate must be able to work independently while maintaining effective communication with stakeholders.

The office base location is flexible; occasional travel and overnight stays may be required.
