About the Role:
Role Overview
We're seeking a seasoned Product Developer/Solution Designer to lead the evolution of our settlement solution. You'll apply your deep understanding of payment and settlement infrastructure and processes to develop forward-thinking product strategies that anticipate evolving market and regulatory trends. Your expertise will be pivotal in expanding our post-trade ecosystem and driving digital transformation within the payment and settlement sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and continuous enhancement of our settlement solution involving over 50 custodian banks.
- Anticipate and address evolving market dynamics and regulatory changes impacting payment and settlement cycles.
- Forge strong partnerships with internal teams and external stakeholders, including custodians and CSDs, for seamless interoperability.
- Monitor usage, consumption, and costs across the network, focusing on optimization.
- Utilize domain expertise to drive product development that addresses major pain points for network participants.
- Champion digitalization strategies to optimize settlement processes and enhance operational efficiency; lead R&D efforts for these initiatives.
- Design roadmaps and strategies that deliver iterative value, maintaining high customer engagement.
- Build strategic relationships with industry players like SWIFT, CLS, and other infrastructure providers.
- Engage with new payment infrastructure providers such as Partior, Fnality, DTCC, Euroclear, Fragmos, HQLAx.
Qualifications & Experience
- Over 10 years of experience in payments and settlement, with a track record of successful digitalization projects.
- Deep knowledge of payment and settlement processes, including operational, regulatory, and technological aspects.
- Hands-on experience with emerging real-time settlement technologies across cash, securities, and digital assets.
- Strong relationship-building skills with stakeholders like custodians, CSDs, and intermediaries.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, proactive, and innovative skills.
- Experience in a bank settlements team (FX/MM/Derivatives) or industry settlement utility is advantageous.
- Proven change/project management experience in a growing business.
- Ability to work effectively with management and senior stakeholders.
- Experience leading industry working groups is a plus.
- Knowledge of DLT concepts and their potential impact on payments and settlements.
