What will you be doing as our new Site Engineer?

Binnies, an RSK Group company, is looking for a Site Engineer to join our @one Alliance. Our site engineers play a critical role in the successful delivery of our projects. You’ll manage day-to-day quality assurance, including surveying, setting out duties, quality checks, and approvals. You’ll also assist the site management teams with health, safety, and environmental management.

Key responsibilities:

• Day-to-day site quality assurance, including surveying, setting out duties, quality checks, and approvals.
• Supporting the Site Manager to liaise with the Engineering and Integration team to resolve conflicts and ensure work is carried out in line with specifications and drawings.
• Assisting the site management teams with health, safety, and environmental management, liaising with commercial, procurement, planning teams, and supply chain management.
• Supporting the Site Manager in calling off materials, stock control, and liaising with procurement to ensure orders are within authority.
• Highlighting areas of concern early to prevent issues.
• Ensuring project programme, quality, and cost targets are met.
• Exploring alternatives for better delivery methods.
• Minimizing waste by ordering required materials efficiently.
• Striving to minimize capital carbon through innovation, substitution, and elimination.

We are looking for someone with experience in large-scale infrastructure projects, proactive problem-solving skills, and a desire to develop a career in construction. Experience in Temporary Works supervision or lifting supervision is a plus but not essential.
