Job summary

Cavendish Professionals are recruiting a Setting Out Engineer for a Milton Keynes project with a respected UK contractor. The role focuses on precise setting out, control points, QA and liaison with design teams to ensure safety and quality on site.

The successful candidate will have experience with groundworks, RC frames or civil works, be proficient with Leica/Trimble gear and AutoCAD, and hold a CSCS card. The project runs for about two months with 10 hour shifts.

Qualifications

• Experience as Setting Out Engineer for Groundworks/RC Frame/Civil contractor.
• Strong knowledge of foundations, drainage, external works and RC structures.
• CSCS Card required (Essential).
• SMSTS or SSSTS desirable.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Setting out for groundworks, drainage, foundations, RC frames and associated infrastructure.
• Establishing and maintaining site control points and survey data.
• Producing and maintaining accurate as-built surveys and records.
• Interpreting and checking engineering drawings and specifications.
• Carrying out QA/QC inspections and completing quality documentation.
• Raising and managing RFIs where required.
• Monitoring tolerances and ensuring works are delivered to specification.
• Liaising with subcontractors, site managers and design teams.
• Assisting with site planning and engineering problem solving.
• Promoting and maintaining the highest standards of health and safety on site.
