Job description

MadiganGill is looking for a Setting Out Engineer for a new project in North Bristol, with an expected duration of 12+ months.

This role is on a freelance basis, and the pay rate is negotiable depending on experience.

Transport, equipment, and a laptop will be provided.

Responsibilities:

1. Carrying out all necessary setting out accurately and correctly.
2. Using robotic equipment.
3. Implementing relevant elements of the inspection & test plan.
4. Completing quality assurance checks and documentation.
5. Preparing as-built drawings.
6. Records management.
7. Attending relevant project meetings.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Minimum 5 years of appropriate setting out experience.
• Background in housing projects.
• Proficiency using robotic EDM.
• Experience with GPS machine control and model production.
• Experience with 3D machine control is an advantage.
• Experience using n4ce or similar software for modeling.
• Good understanding of engineer and architect drawings.
• Ability to maintain effective relationships with clients.

Working Hours:

Days: Monday - Friday (Potential weekends available)

Hours: 07:30 - 16:30
