Job summary

The Manchester College is seeking a patient and dynamic Sessional Tutor for Visual Arts to join our Creative Industries Department on an ADHOC basis at City Campus Manchester.

We offer a stimulating, industry-connected learning environment with specialist studios and strong links to employers. Applicants should have a Certificate of Education or PGCE, a current industry specialism, and relevant assessor qualifications where required.

Qualifications

  • Certificate of education or PGCE is required.
  • Current and valid industry specialism is required.
  • Assessor qualifications may be required by Awarding Organisation.
  • Minimum Level 3 occupational qualification is required.
  • English and maths at Level 2 or above are required.
  • Significant experience delivering outstanding teaching is required.
  • Proven track record of high-quality teaching in the relevant subject.

We have an exciting opportunity at our City Campus Manchester to join our Creative Industries Department as a Visual Arts Sessional Tutor on an ADHOC basis.

Skills, Qualifications and Experience

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Certificate of education or PGCE.
  • Current and valid industry specialism.
  • Assessor qualifications (if required by Awarding Organisation).
  • Minimum Level 3 occupational qualification.
  • English and maths minimum level 2 Grade C or grade 4 and above.
  • Significant Experience of delivering outstanding teaching and learning.
  • Proven track record of high-quality teaching in delivering subject specialism or current valid industry specialism.
  • Working as a team.
  • Verbal and written communication skills.
  • Meet delivery targets and plans.
  • Accurate and timely reports and records.
  • Positive contribution to planning processes.
