A leading college is seeking a Sessional Lecturer in Early Years and Education to assess and inspire learners. The ideal candidate will possess a degree in the relevant field and hold teaching qualifications while bringing enthusiasm and creativity to their teaching approach. This part-time position involves leading programme developments and fostering student engagement, with opportunities for professional advancement.

Here at Kingston College, we are seeking a Sessional Lecturer to join our Early Years and Education section. The role involves assessing and monitoring learners studying from Level 1 to T-Level, including delivery of EYFS, the National Curriculum, and beyond in license to practice qualifications.
The courses are predominantly coursework-based; therefore, we seek an innovative practitioner to design engaging coursework assignments that inspire learners. You will lead the development of programmes within the section and act as the main point of contact for employers and students, providing feedback on progress as required.
Our ideal candidate will hold a degree or relevant professional qualification in Early Years and/or Education (including National Curriculum and/or Key Stage 1) and have industry experience in a relevant area, specifically Early Years and the National Curriculum. You should possess energy, enthusiasm, and passion for the subject and education, hold a teaching qualification (or be willing to work towards one), and have excellent teaching skills and experience of teaching on higher education courses.
You should have the ability to support, motivate, and empathise with young learners, monitor their progress, and be aware of academic quality standards. Receptive to new ideas and initiatives, with a creative approach to problem-solving, you should be hardworking, flexible, and hold high personal standards and expectations.
The successful candidate will be eligible for any salary increase resulting from the annual cost of living review implemented in the new academic year.
