We are recruiting a sessional Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) Lead to join our Professional Construction team based at our Roundhouse Campus in Pride Park, Derby. Within this role you will be pivotal to the success and quality assurance of the Professional Construction provision the College delivers to 150 students from across the East Midlands. The team you’ll be joining is energetic and diverse, with colleagues ranging from recent graduates to those with over 35 years’ experience within the construction industry to those who have been teaching with us for 6 years. This is a fantastic opportunity to pass on your specialist knowledge and support assessors, trainers and teachers in ensuring that compliance to all expectations of DCG, Awarding Organisations and End Point Assessment Organisations (EPAOs) are always achieved or exceeded.

You will be responsible for and lead the Internal Quality Assurance process across all the qualifications and apprenticeships delivered in the Professional Construction Academy across all levels of study. Our learners range from 16 to 18 years old and adult learners on a variety of courses including Higher Technical Qualifications (Level 4 & 5), T-Levels (Level 3) and Apprenticeships (Level 3 and Level 4).

About you

You will have excellent ability to review outcomes and plan appropriate resolutions/actions. You will have a strong understanding of the IQA process and thecomplexities and expectations of the EQA process and hold aHND/Fd or higher in a construction related specialism.

While the role is hybrid, the successful candidate is expected to work from the college campus 1 day a week for most of the probation period (6 months) to ensure strong collaboration with the teaching and assessing team.
