Job summary

Fulham Football Club Limited is seeking a committed GK coach to deliver high-quality goalkeeper sessions for ages 6 to 16, and to broaden coaching across the Foundation for children, young people and adults. The role requires evenings and some weekend availability, with an emphasis on developing individual players and supporting community activities.

Ideal candidates will hold FA Level 1 in GK coaching, relevant GK qualifications, in-date FA First Aid and Safeguarding, and have access to a car

Qualifications

  • Essential coaching experience with GK sessions for ages U7–U16.
  • Delivery of extracurricular and community activities.
  • Must have FA Level 1 in GK coaching or equivalent and in-date FA First Aid/Safeguarding.
  • Must have access to a car or ability to travel independently.

Responsibilities

  • Act as ambassador for Fulham Foundation and foster strong relationships with partners and players.
  • Plan and deliver high-quality GK sessions aligned with syllabus and values.
  • Develop individual development plans for players throughout the season.
  • Identify progression pathways for talented players and support wider Foundation activities.
  • Assist in data collection and monitoring for reports as required.

Job description

To deliver high quality football coaching sessions to accomplished & aspiring grassroots players aged 6 to 16.

To deliver football & sports sessions across the wider Foundation to a range of children, young people and adults.

The successful candidate will have availability on one or more of the following days:
Mondays 7.30pm to 9pm
Wednesdays - 7.30pm to 9pm
Fridays - 5pm to 9pm


Job requirements

Essential:

Experience
Leading goalkeeper specific football sessions to age groups U7 to U16
Delivery of extracurricular and community activities to all age groups


Skills and Qualifications:
Minimum of FA Level 1 in Coaching Goalkeepers, National Goalkeeping Course or equivalent experience
FA First Aid - in date
FA Safeguarding - in date
Ability to drive, has access to a car or ability to travel independently.

Preferable:
Experience
Delivery in a Club Community Organisation (CCO)
Delivery of activity to young people with a Disability.
Delivery of CPD events to coaches.
Delivery of Physical Education lessons to primary age children

Skills and Qualifications
FA Level 2 in Coaching Goalkeepers or UEFA Goalkeeping B Diploma
Non-football NGB sports qualifications
Mentoring qualification
Talent Identification qualification
Understanding of Physical Education standards in schools (Ofsted guidance)

Job responsibilities

To act as an Ambassador for FFCF and maintain and develop relationships to ensure high quality experiences for young people, partner organisations, other staff and customers

To effectively plan and deliver high quality football sessions in-line with coaching syllabus, philosophy and values.

To effectively support the development of individual players through the creation of individual development plans throughout the season.

To identify and support the development of progression pathways for talented young people

To effectively plan and deliver extra-curricular and community activities across the wider Foundation.

To support the transition between school-based activities, wider Foundation activities and where appropriate, other community activities

Assist in data collection and completion of monitoring for reports on an ongoing basis, within the timescales required

To work closely with Football Development Officer's to understand programme standards and attendance targets and support the promotion of FFCF activities

To support the smooth function of the Operations Department in line with the Foundation values and targets and work across programmes, when required
