A leading Playcentre located in Canterbury is seeking a vibrant and motivated educator to support child-led play. The ideal candidate will hold relevant qualifications, including a Playcentre Course 3, and be passionate about empowering families. This role is about mentoring community involvement in early childhood education, with a focus on engaging with whānau and promoting Te Reo Māori.
We’re seeking a vibrant, motivated, creative, and passionate educator with a sparkling personality to join our well-resourced centre to support our tamariki, parents, and whānau in facilitating child-led play.
You will work alongside our centre whānau to open the sessions and guide activities, facilitate learning for our members and tamariki, while role modeling child-led play and positive guidance.
The successful candidate will support whānau in the use of Te Reo Māori, encourage participation in the Playcentre Education programme to increase qualification levels at our centre, and demonstrate the benefits of participating to whānau.
We are all about mentoring and supporting parents/whānau/members/tamariki as they explore and learn with their children during these very special years.
