A charitable organization supporting the deaf community is looking for individuals to deliver one-to-one and group support to deaf and deafblind people, primarily using British Sign Language (BSL). The role is permanent part-time, requiring BSL Level 1, with flexible work hours. Additional benefits include life assurance, a generous pension, and 30 days annual leave. Our Independent Living team provides person-centred support so that deaf and deafblind people (including those who have additional support needs, e.g., a learning disability or mental health challenge) can develop the skills needed to live independently.

Permanent part-time (16 hours per week). Salary - £25,642.50 (full-time equivalent), We pay the Real Living Wage, provide excellent training and development, prioritise colleague wellbeing and are keen to attract people who can work independently, but who also enjoy being part of a team that can support each other to achieve great outcomes for the people who we support.

The sessional opportunity is flexible work and colleagues can choose support sessions from those offered. Many sessional colleagues develop their skills and gain valuable experience before eventually becoming permanent (when vacancies arise). Sessional colleagues are not permanent employees. There is no guarantee of work and days/hours can vary depending on the needs of the charity.
