Supporting the Senior Pricing and Promotions Manager, this role is responsible for setting and enacting the promotional strategy across Getting Started and Longer Life Services products across all channels. These products will be defined within the Services Strategy and can flex/change over time.

The role holder will be required to execute promotions for Services, while ensuring that there is a thorough understanding of elasticity and incrementality for any changes planned, and that margin is optimised with the proposed changes competitive versus relevant market competition.

To do this they will be working closely with many business functions to gather information and ensure that the business is operationally ready to execute the promotions (marketing, systems, training, execution and operational resource). Working with whole Services Commercial team, they will support in the build, planning and execution of the Services Marketing strategy to develop our business for future growth.

Role overview:

As part of this role, you'll be responsible for:

  • Work closely with the Business Intelligence and Analytics, Finance and Category Squads to review the performance of our Services promotional activity, identifying changing trends in customer engagement and costs, and highlighting opportunities to improve overall profitability and promotional execution.
  • Monitor market activity, using this information to ensure that our Services products are promoted to support business-wide objectives and our promotions are in line with or leading the market.
  • Become the custodian of our working relationships with the ATL, Social & PR Marketing teams, and representing Services within the business’ mega Marketing processes.
  • Work with the Customer Insight team to ensure understanding of the Services landscape, including customers, competitors, trends, financial performance, range performance, threats and opportunities, to support the development of the annual Services strategy.
  • Support the Senior Pricing and Promotions Manager to work with Finance, Senior Channel Performance Manager and Senior Commercial Planning Manager to ensure that our promotional strategy is aligned to the business’ marketing plans.
  • Support Senior Pricing and Promotions Manager with inputs relevant to this area within the E2E process of reviewing performance across Services.
  • Support Senior Pricing and Promotions Manager, together with other Commercial teams and Finance teams in the creation of annual budgets and short-term forecasts at P&L level.

You will need:

  • Experience within a commercial or performance driving environment, preferably driving performance within a commercial/category management trading role.
  • Experience of working with and influencing multiple stakeholders across different business functions.
  • Involvement in, and ownership of, the production of business cases or business models.
  • Good knowledge of adjacent markets and competitors (Retail, Services and Technology).
