Principal Software Consultant – Asset Performance Management

Based within AVEVA Southeast Asia engineering service team, this role ensures successful customer adoption of AVEVA's Asset Performance Management software. Responsibilities include delivering high-quality technical support and services to customers and internal teams such as sales, product support, and customer success. The role requires extensive customer interaction, industrial domain knowledge, analytical problem-solving, and excellent communication skills. Travel may be required within the APAC region.

The main responsibilities include:

  1. Leading project implementation of predictive analytics solutions and asset maintenance strategies, ensuring quality and building customer relationships.
  2. Performing data analytics on plant equipment data using AVEVA Predictive Analytics software, diagnosing equipment issues, and providing reports with analysis and recommendations.
  3. Applying Reliability Engineering principles to maximize equipment productivity.
  4. Collaborating with internal experts to ensure standards are met.
  5. Providing customer training on software and best practices, and contributing to product development.
  6. Leading consulting sessions and workshops to understand customer challenges and translating these into software/service solutions.
  7. Supporting sales with technical expertise to secure deals and assisting customer success teams to ensure successful adoption and long-term trust.

Qualifications and experience required:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in mechanical or related engineering.
  • At least 10 years of experience in mechanical engineering, operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, or failure analysis in the process industry; direct end-user experience is a plus.
  • Extensive knowledge of major rotating equipment types.
  • Proficiency with rotating equipment condition monitoring, vibration analysis software, and techniques; certification as a vibration analyst is a plus.
  • Hands-on experience with industry operation, control, maintenance, and condition monitoring software.
  • Experience working in multifunctional teams, multitasking, and being an active team player.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive attitude.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills, capable of working in a diverse, cross-time-zone environment.
  • Bilingual skills are an advantage.
