Full time (Fixed Term until Dec 31st 2025)

We have an exciting opportunity an enthusiastic, self-motivated leader to join the Trent 1000/7000 Value Stream team as a Services Cost Officer.

With over 600 aircraft in service and a growing orderbook of aircraft, the Trent 1000/7000 Value Stream covers the full breadth of activity of those engines in service and provides a unique opportunity to develop business breadth across the lifecycle of an engine.

Reporting to the Cost Managers you will work on defining a robust cost strategy roadmap and policies, baseline cost assumptions for both existing and future business as well as evaluating the business impact of cost reduction proposals. These underpin the profitability of the Trent 1000/7000 so have a direct impact on our business performance.

This is a fixed term role which is expected to end 31st December 2025.

What you will be doing:

You will play a key role within our integrated, cross-functional team. Our Value Streams have a critical and wide accountability within our Civil Aerospace business, and routinely collaborate with colleagues from all around the world, in addition you will:

  • Develop a thorough understanding of the levers of value inherent in our business, and through these own and drive the financial performance of our fleets.
  • Support development of Business Cases & Strategy to support key product change and deliver Business Plan objectives.
  • Responsibility for analysing and forecasting financial information to support development and improvement of our financial forecasts.
  • Develop, deploy, and support functional processes, tools, training, and systems that enable the creation of credible plans that balance availability, cost, and performance.

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent in an Engineering, numerate or business discipline.

  • Financial management, commercial acumen and decision-making skills, comfortable dealing with ambiguity.
  • Highly analytical and able to interpret data and complete data modelling using Microsoft Excel.
  • Able to communicate effectively and work collaboratively across diverse and global teams.
