Job summary

Mastek is seeking an experienced ServiceNow Solution / Platform Architect to lead a UK Public Sector engagement, focusing on a trusted data architecture and CMDB/CSDM maturity. Occasional travel to London/Leeds will be required as part of the role.

The role aims to transform ServiceNow into an enterprise service management platform by establishing data governance, licensing readiness, and future capabilities including AI, IAM, and ITOM.

Qualifications

• Proven CMDB transformation experience in complex environments.
• Proven CSDM transformation and implementation experience.
• Experience leading consultations on ServiceNow platforms.
• Public sector or highly regulated industry experience is required.
• Ability to develop governance frameworks and architectural principles.
• ServiceNow Certified Technical Architect and/or Master Architect desirable.

Responsibilities

• Define the target-state ServiceNow data architecture.
• Develop architectural principles for future platform growth.
• Establish data standards and architecture guardrails.
• Align ServiceNow architecture with enterprise architecture principles.
• Review licensing capabilities for current vs unused readiness.
• Rationalise CMDB structures and relationships.
• Map end-to-end data flows into ServiceNow and document logic.

Travel: Occasional travel to London / Leeds as required

We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow Solution / Platform Architect to lead a strategic data architecture engagement within one of the UK's most high-profile public sector organisations.

This role is focused on transforming the ServiceNow platform into a trusted enterprise service management capability by establishing a robust data architecture, strengthening CMDB and CSDM maturity, and enabling future platform capabilities including AI, automation, Identity and Access Management, IT Asset Management and Enterprise Service Management.

Working alongside business stakeholders, process owners, as part of the established UK ServiceNow team, you will define the architectural direction that underpins the organisation's long-term ServiceNow roadmap.

This is an opportunity to influence a large-scale ServiceNow transformation where the quality of data architecture will directly determine the success of future platform investments.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for:

ServiceNow Platform Architecture

• Define the target-state ServiceNow data architecture
• Develop architectural principles for future platform growth
• Establish data standards and architecture guardrails
• Align ServiceNow architecture with enterprise architecture principles
• Review ServiceNow Licensing capabilities to provide:
• Current vs Unused
• Readiness for modernisation i.e., Licensing required

CMDB and CSDM

• Assess current CMDB maturity
• Develop a roadmap aligned to ServiceNow CSDM
• Rationalise CI structures and relationships
• Map end-to-end data flows into ServiceNow
• Document transformation logic
• Assess data readiness for future ServiceNow capabilities

Data Governance

• Define governance models for ServiceNow data
• Establish Data Owner and Data Steward responsibilities
• Align with existing organisational governance frameworks
• Recommend retention and sovereignty approaches

Platform Enablement

Ensure the platform is architecturally ready for:

• Service Desk Modernisation
• Identity and Access Management integration
• AI Search
• Virtual Agents
• Workflow Automation
• ITOM
• Business Continuity Management

Stakeholder Leadership

• Engage senior business stakeholders, platform owner and process owners
• Present architecture recommendations to governance boards

Experience Required

• Proven CMDB transformation and implementation experience

• ServiceNow Certified Master Architect
• Aligned to The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF)
• ITIL qualification as ITIL4 or 5
• Experience within UK Government Services
