ServiceNow Senior Developer

Inside IR35

Remote

Duration: 3 months

Responsibilities:

• Platform Development, Configuration, and Documentation: Develop and configure ServiceNow applications, including Custom Apps, Modules, UI Policies, Business Rules, and Client Scripts. Implement and maintain Workflows, Flow Designer flows, and Integration Hub spokes. Translate architecture and design into working, optimized code aligned with platform best practices.
• Performance Optimization: Conduct profiling and debugging of scripts, workflows, and queries to identify performance bottlenecks. Optimize GlideRecord usage, ACL performance, indexing, and background jobs. Collaborate with the architect to implement performance improvement recommendations.
• Technical Debt & Code Quality: Identify and address technical debt in existing modules and custom applications. Perform code reviews, refactor, and optimize logic. Maintain clean, reusable, and modular code following standards and naming conventions.
• Demo & Instance Readiness: Prepare and validate instance readiness for feature demos and UATs, including data prep, role mapping, and test cases. Ensure the instance is clean and demo-specific configurations are in place.
• Agile, Collaboration, and Demo Readiness: Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies. Collaborate with BAs, Product Owners, and Developers. Lead feature demos and define release readiness criteria. Support bi-weekly feature releases.
• Testing & Validation: Conduct unit, regression, and performance testing. Log and resolve bugs. Use tools like Instance Scan, Script Tracer, Debug Logs for troubleshooting.
• Nice to Have: Experience with CI/CD pipelines, ATF, handling demo/UAT environments, and presenting technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
