Job Description:
Our client is seeking a ServiceNow ITOM Technical Architect to lead discovery and develop complex service maps for a public sector end client
Initially a 4~6 month contract to start. 37.5 hours/week. Must be able to work PST time zone business hours.
Must-Have:
- 7+ years of technical hands-on experience with ServiceNow
- 5+ years hands-on focused on IT Operations Management (ITOM)
- Strong working knowledge of CSDM (Common Service Data Model) and its application within the CMDB.
- Demonstrated experience in building complex service maps across on-prem, cloud, and hybrid environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect and implement ITOM modules, with a primary focus on Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management, and CMDB Health.
- Design and maintain complex service maps, ensuring accurate and real-time visibility of business services and infrastructure components.
- Leverage ServiceNow Discovery to build and maintain an accurate CMDB, identifying gaps and resolving issues with credentials, MID Servers, or network access.
- Align CMDB structure and CI classes with CSDM (Common Service Data Model) to support scalable and future-proof configurations.
- Provide strategic guidance and best practices for ITOM implementations and integrations with external systems.
- Work closely with platform owners, infrastructure teams, and business stakeholders to ensure ITOM solutions meet organizational goals.
- Develop high-level and detailed technical architecture documentation.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Discovery and Service Mapping accuracy and performance.
- Lead technical workshops and stakeholder meetings to gather requirements and drive alignment.
