ServiceNow Developer Lead
Location:
Chiswick, London / Milton Keynes – Majority remote working with the requirement to go to the office on business needs.
About the role:
Due to growth, we have a brand new permanent ServiceNow Developer Lead vacancy reporting into our Head of Digital Workplace.
In this role, you will lead the ServiceNow developers, assisting in managing the development team for the implementation and maintenance of ServiceNow developments, and identifying opportunities to deliver business value.
The majority of ServiceNow work will relate to the ITSM module, components, and integrations, with potential involvement in other modules such as ITOM, HR, etc.
You will collaborate closely with the Head of Digital Workplace and other team members to ensure coordinated responses to requests and transfer knowledge of ServiceNow applications and modules to users.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the ServiceNow development team.
- Ensure timely and high-quality completion of development work.
- Collaborate with project managers, functional consultants, and other teams to align development with business requirements.
- Provide technical support and resolve issues.
- Deliver change requests for ServiceNow modules.
- Influence and recommend solutions for prioritizing new requirements, ensuring transparency and an audit trail.
- Develop and improve processes, analyze areas for modification to enhance existing systems.
- Maintain systems by monitoring, identifying, and correcting defects.
- Write and maintain code specifications, business functionality, and documentation.
- Analyze ServiceNow platform performance and address deficiencies.
- Provide estimates for tasks and work items.
- Develop product features and enhancements based on business needs.
- Engage with stakeholders to understand required changes.
Qualifications:
- Extensive experience with ServiceNow.
- Experience with ServiceNow integrations, especially with service graph connectors.
- Proven ability to manage end-to-end product delivery, including estimates, hosting, release management, and quality.
- Deep knowledge of ServiceNow workflows (e.g., ITSM, CSM, ITOM, SecOps).
- Strong scripting skills and experience with ServiceNow APIs.
- Knowledge of AJAX, XML, JSON, CSS, and HTML is a plus.
- Proficient in Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
