Location: Sacramento, CA - Remote Role
Type: Contract - W2
Duration: 15 Months + (Around 10 Months Extension)
Job description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced ServiceNow Architect to lead the end-to-end design and delivery of solutions across the ITSM, ITOM, and ITAM modules. The ideal candidate will have a strong architectural background, a deep understanding of ITIL-based processes, and a proven track record of driving successful ServiceNow implementations at scale.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement complex ServiceNow solutions using ITOM, ITAM, ITSM modules, and integrations.
- Define and own the overall technical architecture for ServiceNow solutions spanning ITSM, ITOM, and ITAM.
- Translate business requirements into scalable, flexible, and supportable ServiceNow designs.
- Lead architecture and design discussions with stakeholders, providing guidance on platform best practices, governance, and optimization.
- Architect solutions for:
- ITSM: Incident, Problem, Change, Request, and Knowledge Management
- ITOM: Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management, Cloud Management
- ITAM: Hardware and Software Asset Management, Lifecycle Tracking, License Compliance
- Design and govern CMDB structures, CI classifications, and integrations with external systems (e.g., SCCM, JAMF, AWS, Azure, SolarWinds).
- Provide architectural oversight to ensure data integrity, performance, scalability, and security across implementations.
- Drive solution standardization, reusability, and automation using Flow Designer, IntegrationHub, and ATF.
- Collaborate with platform owners, developers, product managers, and client leadership to ensure architectural alignment with business goals.
- Mentor development teams and review solution designs for quality assurance.
- Stay ahead of ServiceNow roadmap and innovations, recommending adoption of new features and upgrades.
- Develop high-level architecture documentation, technical roadmaps, and design artifacts.
- Proficient in scripting (JavaScript, Glide API), Flow Designer, and Business Rules.
- Experience with CMDB modeling, health monitoring, and data reconciliation techniques.
- Leverage ServiceNow APIs and integrations to connect with existing enterprise systems.
- Create and maintain custom workflows and automations to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
- Proactively identify opportunities for improvement and recommend optimizations to the ServiceNow environment.
- Build scalable and high resilient platforms.
- Create and maintain technical documentation for ServiceNow configurations, customizations, and development work.
- Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, perform gap analysis, and recommend best practices.
- Ensure compliance with ServiceNow best practices and governance standards.
- Proven ability to create and manage workflows, business rules, client scripts, UI actions, and UI policies.
- Familiarity with ITIL concepts and processes.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in IT.
- Minimum 7+ years of strong experience with ServiceNow platform development.
- At least 3 years in an architecture or lead designer role.
- Proven experience in designing and implementing complex ServiceNow solutions across various modules like ITSM, ITOM, ITAM, and integrations is a must.
- Experience in working on Cherwell to ServiceNow Migration is a plus.
- Experience with ServiceNow scripting languages (JavaScript) is a must.
- CSA (Certified System Administration), CAD (Certified Application Developer), and at least 1 CIS (Certified Implementation Specialist) certifications are a must.
- CTA / CMA certification is a must.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
