Job description

As a Service Transition Manager, you will work in an internal and customer-facing role responsible for managing the transition of new and changing services within complex programmes and projects. Daily, you will collaborate closely with the Head of Tech & Service Operations to ensure service management and operational requirements are met during project delivery. Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Providing expert guidance on Service Design and transition.
  2. Leading the transition of services and solutions into Live Service, ensuring readiness for support.
  3. Collaborating with Service Design, Transition teams, the service desk, and technical operations to include service design artefacts in the backlog.
  4. Ensuring all aspects of service readiness are completed before go-live.
  5. Coordinating with project managers, service owners, development, and operational teams.
  6. Defining and managing early life support and transition plans to BAU ownership.

Key requirements include:

  • Significant experience in a Service Transition role within a large, complex organization.
  • Experience driving customer excellence across a diverse service portfolio.
  • Ability to deliver within an AGILE framework with a strong operational understanding of service concepts and techniques.
  • Experience working across diverse services, products, and businesses.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret data and solve complex problems, minimizing risks and ensuring service continuity.
