Mercedes-Benz York is seeking a Service Technician / MOT Tester to keep vehicles in peak condition through thorough servicing, fault diagnostics and timely repairs. You will carry out detailed inspections, record findings on job cards and communicate clearly with service advisors to keep customers updated.

A Level 3 IMI in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair and MOT Tester qualification are required, along with a full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Level 3 IMI in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
• Proven experience as a Service Technician
• MOT Tester qualification
• Full UK driving licence (free from excessive penalties)
• Excellent attention to detail
• Positive, team-focused attitude

As a Service Technician & MOT Tester, you’ll be at the heart of keeping vehicles in top condition. Ensuring vehicles are serviced, repaired, and maintained to the highest standards.

You’ll play a key role in making sure every vehicle leaves the workshop performing at its best.

As a Service Technician / MOT Tester your day-to-day will include:

• Carrying out detailed inspections and fault diagnostics
• Recording findings and recommended repairs clearly on job cards
• Communicating effectively with service advisors to keep customers updated

What we’re looking for in a Service Technician / MOT Tester:
