Job summary

A leading automotive retailer is seeking a Vehicle Technician in Grantham to perform servicing and maintenance on various vehicles. The ideal candidate will have previous experience, preferably hold an industry-recognized qualification, and be motivated and tech-savvy. This role offers a competitive salary of £34,727 plus uncapped OTE, extensive training, and benefits including 25 days annual leave.

• Carry out servicing and maintenance of all vehicles.
• Complete vehicle maintenance tasks such as oil and filter changes.
• Conduct electronic vehicle health checks (eVHCs).

Job description

Vehicle Technician

Carry out servicing and maintenance of all vehicles across the brand.

Perform electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic fault diagnosis and repair, including warranty-approved work in line with brand parameters.

Complete vehicle maintenance tasks such as oil and filter changes.

Fill out job cards and electronic write-ups on franchise platforms.

Conduct electronic vehicle health checks (eVHCs).

Support Apprentice Technicians as required.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic with technical expertise.
• Qualified Vehicle Technician with an industry-recognised qualification, ideally Level 3 (IMI, City & Guilds or equivalent), Level 2 considered.
• Ability to carry out MOTs is desirable.
• Tech-savvy and confident using iPad software.

Additional Information:

• Full manufacturer training provided; no specific brand experience required.
• Regular manufacturer-specific training through both manufacturer and Marshall Academy.
• Salary: £34,727 basic plus uncapped OTE based on individual and team performance.
• Hours: 45-hour working week with weekends on a rota basis.
