Job DescriptionService Technician - Diesel Generators Colchester | UK & European Travel | £35,000 - £40,000 + Overtime
Have you worked with diesel generators?
Would you enjoy the opportunity to travel across the UK and Europe?
Are you electrically or mechanically biased, but keen to develop your skills across both disciplines?
If so, this could be an excellent opportunity to join a growing business operating within the critical power and power sector.
Our client is looking for a motivated Service Technician to join their expanding team. This is a varied, hands-on role suited to someone with either an electrical or mechanical background who enjoys fault-finding, problem-solving and working directly with customers.
You’ll be working on diesel generators ranging from 30kVA to 220kVA, supporting customers across the UK and Europe, with the opportunity to get involved in installations, commissioning and offshore projects.
As a Service Technician, you'll be responsible for keeping customers' power equipment operating safely and reliably.
Your responsibilities will include:
We're interested in people with a strong electrical or mechanical engineering background who are keen to broaden their technical skill set.
Ideally, you’ll have:
Generator experience is highly desirable, but we’re also interested in technically strong electrical or mechanical engineers who are keen to specialise in power and be fully supported with further training.
This isn’t a role where you'll be doing the same thing every day.
You’ll have the opportunity to work on a wide range of generator equipment, visit different customer sites, travel internationally and develop your expertise across both mechanical and electrical engineering.
With overtime available, there is also a genuine opportunity for motivated engineers to increase their overall earnings while developing their technical skills and experience.
For the right person, there’s also the opportunity to progress into a more senior or managerial position as the business continues to grow.
If you're a hands-on engineer who enjoys fault-finding, doesn't mind getting stuck in, and likes the idea of travelling across the UK and Europe, we’d love to hear from you.
