Job summary

Brokk UK, a world-leading manufacturer of remote-controlled demolition robots, is seeking a Service Technician to maintain Brokk machines and partner products across London and the south, including the Chelmsford area.

The role requires an electrical, hydraulic or mechanical engineering background, the ability to read schematics, robust troubleshooting skills and the flexibility to work on-site at customer sites, with responsibility for maintenance, repair, commissioning, and on-site support.

Qualifications

• Background in electrical, hydraulic or mechanical engineering.
• Able to read electrical and hydraulic schematics.
• Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding skills.
• Previous experience on construction or demolition sites.
• Flexible with hours and adaptable to a changing schedule.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and time-management skills.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Physically capable of meeting job demands, including lifting and onsite work.
• Good IT skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out maintenance, repair, commissioning and service support to machinery and attachments.
• Use diagnostic equipment and online connect system to troubleshoot faults.
• Attend callouts and breakdowns.
• PDI new machines and attachments for sale.
• Represent Brokk UK on-site and develop customer relationships and support.
• Educate clients on how to use and maintain equipment.
• Complete warranty work to factory standards.
• Communicate clearly with customers about issues and repairs.
• Ensure health, safety, quality and environmental requirements are met.

Service Technician – Field / Workshop based - Competitive base salary + overtime – London and the South, Chelmsford Area

The Role

Brokk UK, the world’s leading manufacturer of remote-controlled demolition robots, is seeking an individual to fill the role of a Service Technician to maintain Brokk machines and partner products across London and the south of England.

The successful candidate will have a background from either electrical, hydraulic or mechanical engineering and be located within commuting distance to our Chelmsford workshop.

Responsibilities

• Carry out maintenance, repair, commissioning and service support to our customers’ machinery and attachments.
• Utilize our online connect system and diagnostic equipment to help troubleshoot machine faults.
• Attend callouts / breakdowns.
• PDI new machines and attachments ready for sale.
• Serve as a key representative of Brokk UK on-site and help develop customer relationships and support.
• Educating clients on how to use and maintain their equipment effectively.
• Complete warranty work to a factory standard.
• Communicating clearly with customers about equipment issues and repairs.
• Ensure all health and safety, quality and environmental requirements are being complied with.

Package

• Salary negotiable depending on qualifications and experience.
• Full-time, permanent, 40 hour week + overtime.
• 25 days holiday, plus bank holidays.
