Scottish Modern Apprenticeship – Service Technician through SCQF Level 7 with Evans Halshaw as the employer. Includes paid employment, with block release training at The Performance Academy in Coventry and OTJ learning over the 40-hour week.

Qualifications

• GCSE / National 5 (or equivalent) A–C / 9–4 in Maths and English; predicted grades accepted.
• SCQF Level 7 apprenticeship pathway under Scottish Modern Apprenticeship.
• Training combines paid employment with nationally recognised training.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior technicians in routine servicing, inspections, and maintenance tasks.
• Support fault-finding using diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Learn to repair mechanical and electrical vehicle systems.
• Follow health & safety procedures and work safely in the workshop.
• Record work completed, parts used, and service activity accurately.
• Attend all required IMI training and assessments.
• Work as part of a team to ensure high standards of workmanship and customer satisfaction.
