Your Life as a Service Technician at Meesons

As a Service Technician at Meesons, you will work as part of a team on servicing products to provide the business and its customers with technical support nationwide. You will accurately diagnose and remedy reported faults efficiently with minimal disruption to the customer, maintain a professional and positive attitude, and conduct PMV visits thoroughly, ensuring all required aspects are completed. It is vital that you demonstrate high standards of workmanship to ensure quality repairs, product reliability, and alignment with Meesons' values. We believe our people are the driving force behind our success. You will be personable, discreet, and demonstrate strong engineering aptitude with excellent communication skills.

Reporting directly to our Engineering Manager, you will be a key member of our team, demonstrating technical competence and strong communication skills.

What is expected from you:
  • Adhere to response times, consulting with Service Schedulers before making schedule changes.
  • Manage spare parts on the van, maintaining accurate stock levels.
  • Complete all required documentation promptly.
  • Follow Health and Safety requirements.
  • Be flexible with working hours, including occasional out-of-hours, weekend work, and overnight stays as needed.
  • Identify, test, and return faulty parts.
  • Oversee and report on van stock levels, ensuring accurate booking out of used stock.
  • Submit timesheets accurately and on time.
  • Care for company property, including vehicles, tools, and IT equipment.
  • Keep technical knowledge up to date with information provided by the Technical Support Department.
  • Comply with Cyber Security protocols.
  • Provide documentation for Security Clearance if required.
  • Follow scheduled tasks and standards unless prior approval is obtained.
  • Maintain vehicle, tools, and equipment properly.
  • Ensure vehicle stocks are accurate and maintained.
  • Demonstrate technical competence and attention to detail.
  • Possess good geographical knowledge and interpersonal skills.
  • Be a competent IT user and an effective communicator.
  • Operate in line with company values and behaviors.
  • Maintain strong organizational skills.

Note: The successful candidate will need to undergo security clearance vetting, if not already cleared to SC level.
