• Job Title: Service Technician
• Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm, with a 1-hour lunch break
• Location: Shrewsbury, SY4 4RR

We operate seven depots in Shrewsbury, Cubley, Welshpool, Middlewich, Ormskirk, Denbigh, and Knighton.

About the Role

This role involves diagnostics, servicing, repairs, and maintenance of customer and company equipment, based on current certified training. It reports directly to the Service Manager and has no direct reports. The position is full-time, based on a 40-hour week, Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm, with potential outside hours. Overtime is compensated according to company policy.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostics and repairs on agricultural or plant equipment in workshop or field settings
• Complete reports and administrative tasks accurately and promptly (job cards, timesheets)
• Follow all safety regulations and procedures
• Participate in training programs to enhance skills and knowledge
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensure proper use of tools and equipment
• Mentor apprentices as needed

Candidate Requirements

• Experience in service repairs
• Ability to perform repairs using correct tools and techniques
• Proficiency in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
• Familiarity with manufacturer service portals and standard computer applications
• Ability to operate diagnostic vehicles and equipment
• Good customer service skills
• Knowledge of manufacturers like JCB and New Holland
• Teamwork skills
• Minimum LTA certification or equivalent
• Full, clean driving license for field roles
• Willingness to work extended hours and weekends
