A major automotive retail group in Reading is looking for a skilled Service Technician to perform vehicle maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs. Qualifications

Service Technician – Marshall Seat Reading

Salary: £36,557 Basic plus OTE £44,678 Uncapped, based on individual performance, team profit, and CSI Bonus

Hours: 45-hour working week with Saturday mornings on a rota basis

The role

As a skilled technician, you will join a team supporting one of our popular brands in our state-of-the-art facilities. Full manufacturer training is provided, so brand experience is not required. We offer regular manufacturer-specific training and opportunities through our Marshall Academy to keep you updated with the latest technology.

Who you are
  • Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic with the ability to work efficiently
  • A team player comfortable with established processes and procedures
  • A qualified Vehicle Technician with an industry-recognized qualification, ideally Level 3, but Level 2 will be considered (IMI, City & Guilds, or equivalent)
  • Ability to carry out MOTs is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided
  • Motivated, dedicated, organized, with a focus on Health & Safety
  • Tech-savvy and confident using iPad software
What you’ll do
  • Carry out servicing and maintenance of vehicles across the brand
  • Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic faults, including warranty work within brand parameters
  • Perform vehicle maintenance tasks such as oil and filter changes
  • Complete job cards and electronic write-ups on franchise platforms
  • Conduct electronic vehicle health checks (eVHCs)
  • Support Apprentice Technicians as required
