Job description

Service Technician - Builders Merchants

Circa £34k

Monday to Friday, 40-hour week, days

Vanta Staffing are the exclusive staffing partner to an amazing builders merchants who provide a complete one-stop shop for their commercial customers.

Now looking to bolster their maintenance team with an experienced all-round Service Technician.

Duties of the successful Service Technician will include:

1. Carry out quality checks on inbound & outbound machines & equipment
2. Provide fault diagnostics on electrical, hydraulic, mechanical & pneumatic systems
3. Repair or replace where needed
4. Ensure that planned maintenance initiatives are carried out effectively
5. Contribute to the health and safety of the site
6. Monitor, order & control stock
7. Ensure that ALL SOPs meet health and safety requirements

Required experience & characteristics of the Service Technician:

1. Proven experience repairing & maintaining construction equipment (paint sprayers, screed sprayers, generators)
2. Experienced in successfully completing multi-skilled repairs in mechanical and/or electrical/electronic engineering environments.
3. Mechanical, pneumatic or electrical engineering-based qualification a distinct advantage
4. Good communication capability
5. Experience of working with manufacturing environments
6. Highly focused on quality, safety and managing the working environment.
7. Strong command of the English language
8. Enthusiastic, polite & professional character
