Location: Haydock, St Helens

Job Type: 6 month FTC

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Service Technician to join our expanding team. This hands‑on role is key to ensuring our boiler, chiller and air conditioning fleet of equipment is maintained to the highest standard and delivered ready for hire.

Working out of our Haydock depot, you’ll play a vital role in keeping our equipment operational, supporting installations, and resolving any issues quickly and professionally.

Key Responsibilities

• Service, maintain, and repair HVAC rental equipment including heaters, chillers, air conditioners, and ventilation units
• Prepare equipment for hire, ensuring it is safe, clean, and fully operational
• Diagnose faults and carry out effective repairs
• Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on fleet assets
• Complete accurate job reports and service documentation
• Ensure compliance with health & safety procedures at all times

Qualifications

• Ideally candidates will have electrical qualifications (e.g. 18th Edition, City & Guilds, NVQ)
• Previous experience in a Service Technician, HVAC Engineer, or similar role
• Strong mechanical and/or electrical skills
• Experience working with HVAC systems (highly desirable)
• Ability to diagnose faults and problem‑solve effectively
• Good communication and customer‑facing skills
• Full UK driving licence
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
