Job description

Service Technician

We're looking for an experienced service technician to join a well-established business specialising in horticultural and ground care machinery. You will carry out servicing and repairs on a range of horticultural machinery. This is a field-based role, requiring travel to customer sites. A company vehicle will be provided for all work-related travel.

Responsibilities include:

• Perform routine maintenance and repair work on horticultural machinery for a wide range of customers
• Identify and resolve mechanical issues, delivering both servicing and effective repair solutions
• Use diagnostic tools and software to troubleshoot hydraulic and electrical system faults
• Work independently with minimal supervision, while also contributing effectively within a team environment
• Capable of manual handling, with a sensible approach to lifting heavy items safely
• Communicate clearly and professionally with colleagues, suppliers, and clients
• Confident using computers and relevant software systems
• Provide outstanding customer service, both in person and over the phone
• Highly self-motivated with a proactive, problem-solving attitude

Requirements:

• Knowledge of horticultural machinery is an advantage
• Knowledge of domestic and professional grass machinery
• Must hold a full and valid UK driving licence
