Job summary

Vanderlande is seeking a Service Technician to operate at the Sainsbury’s Distribution Centre in the UK. You will maintain installations, address faults, and support preventive and periodic maintenance tasks with the team.

The role requires a City & Guilds/NVQ level 3 in mechanical or electrical maintenance, willingness to work nights, and experience with maintenance planning. DBS check is required.

Qualifications

• City & Guilds/NVQ level 3 or above in maintenance mechanical or electrical.
• Willing to work shifts including nights.
• Experience with maintenance planning.
• Note: DBS check is required due to role.

Your role

Working within our Sainsbury’s Distribution Centre, the Service Technician will be performing maintenance duties to ensure productivity and output, equipment availability, health & safety compliance and quality. You will be performing the following tasks:

• Ensuring a top condition of the various installations
• Responsible for performing malfunction and maintenance work as well as carrying out preventive and periodic maintenance, in collaboration with colleagues.
• Resolving mechanical, electrical and any control technical faults

What we expect from you

As a Service Technician you make an important contribution to customer satisfaction, whereby the continuity of the customer process is central. You therefore have an enthusiastic and proactive attitude and are flexible. We expect the following of you:

• You are in the possession of a City & Guilds / NVQ level 3 or above in maintenance mechanical / electrical discipline.
• Willing to work shifts including nights
• Experience with maintenance planning

NOTE: Due to the nature of the business you will be subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS)check.

• You have gained experience within an FMCG manufacturing or automated environment
