Job description:

We are recruiting for a Service Technician to work as part of the local team based in Birmingham, supporting customer communications and assisting the management team. The role involves providing front-of-house customer contact within the Birmingham Housing business unit, ensuring our equipment operates safely and reliably.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Respond to calls or repairs within the contractual time frame
  • Support and cooperate with colleagues in a positive, helpful, and respectful manner
  • Comply with the company's field objectives and reporting systems
  • Participate in the continuous development of the company's quality system
  • Maintain and service lifting equipment, including lifts, platform units, and hoists
  • Complete works in real-time within Field Link
  • Perform other field engineering duties as required
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures
  • Work in accordance with occupational health and safety policies to ensure safety compliance

Candidate Requirements:

  • Proven experience in lift servicing, maintenance, or repairs preferred
  • Qualified to NVQ level 3 minimum in lift maintenance
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Flexibility and strong problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication skills at various levels (client, service leader, inspectors)
  • Customer-focused, committed to providing high-quality service
  • Team player, supportive and willing to assist colleagues
  • Proactive with good workload prioritization
