Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week (site open between 6:00am – 7:00pm)

Igloo is recruiting on behalf of a well-established and nationally recognised automotive company based in Chipping Warden. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Service Technician to join a forward-thinking organisation offering long-term career development and a supportive working environment.

Position Overview

As a Service Technician, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality servicing, repairs, and pre-delivery inspections (PDIs). The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, a collaborative approach, and a commitment to maintaining manufacturer-level standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out servicing, mechanical repairs, and pre-delivery inspections (PDIs)
  • Diagnose and rectify faults in line with manufacturer guidelines
  • Utilise the AssetCare system to manage and document tasks accurately
  • Complete all workshop documentation in accordance with company procedures
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment
  • Accurately request and issue parts as required
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support overall productivity and workshop efficiency
  • Identify and report vehicle defects and mechanical issues promptly
  • Maintain tools and equipment in safe, operational condition
  • Interpret technical service information and ensure full compliance with health and safety regulations

Candidate Requirements

  • City & Guilds Level 1, 2 & 3 in Motor Vehicle Studies (or equivalent)
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a professional vehicle workshop
  • Manufacturer-specific training, including EV/Hybrid systems
  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding capabilities
  • A willingness to undertake ongoing training and development
  • A team-oriented attitude with a focus on quality and attention to detail
  • Flexible start and finish times (within operational site hours of 6:00am – 7:00pm)
