A leading healthcare organization in Pontyclun is seeking a Service Support Manager to oversee the administrative team and ensure the delivery of high-quality services to the clinical team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and experience in a regulated environment, ideally within the NHS. This role offers an opportunity to lead a dedicated team in a vital organization focused on community health.
The Service Support Manager will line manage and support the administrative team to deliver a comprehensive, confidential and expert service to the clinical team under the leadership of the Medical Director.
The post holder will be responsible for the management, overall supervision, initiation and embedding of effective business processes.
Excellent communication skills are required with experience in managing internal and external relationships.
The post holder will be required to work proactively in a busy, challenging and complex environment in which to develop and establish effective working relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, supporting the implementation and delivery of high-quality services. The post holder will lead and develop a comprehensive secretarial and administration service to support the Clinical Services Department (CS) ensuring effective operations are maintained. The postholder is expected to manage their time effectively, meeting tight deadlines and working largely unsupervised to support service delivery within VUNHST. The post holder will provide efficient and effective administrative support for the senior staff within Clinical Services and, as and when required, to meet the exigencies of the service. The post holder will also provide flexible support to the Service and Development team, Blood Health Team, Component Development Laboratory and Research Development & Innovation (RD&I) team where workload and deadlines require it.
This post is fixed term/secondment for 12 months due to funding. If you are interested in applying for the secondment position, you must obtain permission from your current line manager prior to applying for this post.
