The City of Wolverhampton Council is seeking to strengthen its ICT service by recruiting a Service Support Engineer to join our dynamic and forward-thinking team.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced support team that thinks out of the box. Our aim is to provide exceptional services, including advice, support, and implementing solutions for various customers in an enterprise environment.
The Service Support Engineer will be part of a professional, friendly, and energetic team. You will have the ability to champion a culture of change and improvement, providing 1st and 2nd line ICT support to 4,500 customers, including maintaining and supporting equipment, software, and services.
You must have excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to relay technical information to diverse audiences. Recent experience in an ICT support environment delivering 1st and 2nd line support in an enterprise setting is essential and can be demonstrated through application and interview.
You should have GCSE level qualifications or equivalent; an ICT-based qualification is advantageous but not essential.

Roles are allocated to fixed, field, or flexible work styles. Some roles are agile, enabling employees to maximize performance and work-life balance. Fixed roles are based at a permanent council location. Field roles involve working in the community with minimal 'touch down' space. Flexible roles have a base location but allow working from home or other locations as needed.
