We are currently working on a role for a Service Support Assistant with a Local Authority in the East Midlands,helping to ensure the smooth operation of key services in the Childrens Services Finance Team

Service Support Assistant
Rate: £16.32 p/h inside IR35 Umbrella
Hours: 37 hours per week
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 3-6 months initially

About the Role:

  • This is a vital administrative support role within the Children’s Services Finance team, helping to ensure the smooth operation of key services. You will:
  • Provide high-quality clerical and database support
  • Handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism
  • Liaise with families, referrers, and partner agencies
  • Support safeguarding processes and data quality initiatives
  • Produce reports, letters, and maintain accurate records

Key Duties:

  • Manage referrals and input data into case management systems
  • Respond to enquiries via phone, email, and in person
  • Organise meetings, take minutes, and manage correspondence
  • Maintain filing systems and track service outputs
  • Support financial processes and procurement tasks

Essential Requirements:
