Job summary

Personnel Selection are pleased to be working with a fantast SME Engineering business, based in Rotherham, recruiting a Service Supervisor on a permanent, full-time basis. Salary up to £42k, private pension, and ongoing manufacturer training.

The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background (hydraulics, diesel engines, plant) with proven service/repair experience, plus a full driving licence as some off-site work is involved.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical background including hydraulics, diesel engines, plant or similar.
• Proven experience in service and repair of industrial or plant equipment.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members.

Responsibilities

• Carry out service, repair, fault finding, and refurbishment of hire fleet equipment.
• Prepare and inspect units before and after hire, ensuring reliability and safety.
• Lead by example in the workshop, setting the standard for quality of work and productivity.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, hydraulic, and engine-related faults.

Personnel Selection are pleased to be working alongside this fantast SME Engineering business, with a depot in Rotherham. We are recruiting for a Service Supervisor on a permanent and full time basis.

The ideal person has a strong mechanical background (hydraulics, diesel engines, plant or similar) and proven experience in the service and repair of industrial or plant equipment. You must have a full driving licence, as there will be some off‑site work involved.

We are looking for someone who is committed to providing their customers with an excellent service, so the ability to communicate effectively is required.

This could be a great opportunity for someone with some experience in a supervisory / team leader role, looking for the opportunity to advance their career.

The role will include:
