Job description

We are recruiting on behalf of a reputable automotive service centre in Billingshurst for an experienced Service Receptionist. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a customer-facing environment, is highly organised, and has solid experience using the a service and workshop garage management system.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the first point of contact for customers - in person and over the phone
  • Book in vehicle services, repairs, and MOTs using a a service and workshopgarage management system.
  • Provide accurate estimates and updates to customers
  • Liaise between customers and the workshop to ensure timely progress updates
  • Create and manage job cards, invoices, and service records
  • Handle payments and end-of-day reconciliation
  • Support the Service Manager and wider team with general administration

About You

Previous experience in a motor trade customer service or service advisor role
Proficient in using a garage management software (essential)
Confident communicator with a professional and friendly manner
Highly organised with the ability to multitask in a busy reception area
Good IT skills - comfortable using email, calendars, and digital filing systems
A team player with a customer-first attitude
