We are a leading provider of plant hire services across the UK. We work with clients in construction, civil engineering, and infrastructure to ensure they have the right tools to complete their projects efficiently.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Service & Parts Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will coordinate service schedules, manage repair requests, liaise with engineers, and ensure minimal downtime for our fleet.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and coordinate routine maintenance for all plant machinery to prevent breakdowns and maximize uptime.
  • Manage repair requests, assign tasks to engineers based on urgency, and ensure timely, quality repairs.
  • Monitor parts inventory to ensure availability for scheduled maintenance and emergency repairs.
  • Serve as the main contact between site teams, engineers, and management, providing updates on equipment status and repair progress.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs, including parts used and downtime.
  • Ensure all activities comply with health and safety regulations and company policies.
  • Generate reports on equipment performance, maintenance, and repairs, identifying trends and improvement areas.

Skills and Experience:

  • Experience in a service coordinator or similar role within plant hire, construction, or heavy machinery industries.
  • Good understanding of plant machinery maintenance and common issues.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency with service management software, scheduling tools, and Microsoft Office.
  • Problem-solving skills to minimize equipment downtime.
  • Attention to detail in record-keeping and reporting.
