Overview

Location: Leeds. Salary: £35,000 p/a plus excellent benefits. Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent.

Our client is seeking a highly organised and technically minded Service Operations Scheduler to play a key role in ensuring the seamless delivery of machine installations, service contracts, and reactive maintenance. This role is central to the operational performance of the service department, balancing engineer scheduling, parts coordination, and contract management to deliver an exceptional customer experience. You will oversee the end-to-end scheduling of field service engineers, ensure the timely sourcing and allocation of parts, and manage service and rental contracts with precision and accuracy. Acting as the operational link between customers and engineers, you will drive efficiency and maintain the highest service standards.

Responsibilities
  • Schedule in works for all engineers, including both reactive and proactive work on a daily basis
  • Review and process engineer service reports, ensuring all documentation is complete and submitted to customers promptly
  • Manage and renew service contracts and rental asset agreements
  • Act as a point of contact for customers and engineers during the installation or service visit, resolving any on-the-day issues or queries
  • Ensure engineers have all relevant information and correctly allocated time for each customer visit
  • Oversee the sourcing, ordering, and tracking of parts to support service operations
  • Maintaining systems keeping them fully up to date with correct information
  • Identify process improvements within scheduling, parts logistics, and contract management to enhance departmental efficiency
Requirements
  • 3 years minimum proven experience in scheduling engineers or coordinating field teams
  • Proven experience managing service contracts and/or asset rental agreements
  • Strong understanding of part sourcing and management
  • Strong organisational and planning skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Confident using ERP or scheduling systems
  • Experience with machinery, engineering or service-based industries is desirable
