Job summary

Sandwell Children’s Trust is recruiting a Families First Partnership Programme Service Manager to lead the MACPT model in children’s safeguarding. You will design, test and implement a multi-agency approach across partners to improve outcomes for children and families.

We seek an experienced leader with a social work qualification, capable of driving service transformation, governance, workforce development and evaluation in line with national reforms ahead of April 2027.

Qualifications

• Must hold a recognised social work qualification and be registered.
• Experience leading service transformation and multi-agency collaboration.
• Strong safeguarding and child protection knowledge.
• Experience in statutory children’s services and partnership working.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development and implementation of the MACPT model as part of the Families First Partnership Programme.
• Collaborate with partner agencies to develop and embed a shared vision, operating model and governance framework for MACPT.
• Develop implementation plans, policies and guidance to support rollout and practice improvements.
• Monitor progress against milestones, identify risks and drive continuous improvement.
• Ensure learning from pilots, national developments and local evaluation informs future model development.
• Provide professional leadership and safeguarding expertise to ensure alignment with statutory requirements.
