The Chantry is a 2b brain injury rehabilitation/complex care unit. We are looking for an experienced and dynamic leader to push forward on quality improvement with experience of complex medical needs and working with regulatory bodies to improve standards.

Brainkind is a charity that aims to improve the lives of people with brain injuries in the UK. Our assessment centres, rehabilitation units, and hospitals use expert neurorehabilitation to support people to regain the skills they have lost. We treat people with a range of brain injuries sustained through trauma, illness, substance abuse, and more to recover and meet their personal goals. Main duties of the job

About us:

The Chantry has been providing specialist neurological care for over 20 years and has built a reputation for quality, personalised, and innovative care and rehabilitation through its residential and community-based services.

Our service provides 26 residential beds with opportunities for professional growth across complex disability, high dependency care, and slow stream rehabilitation. We also offer innovative working approaches within the level 2 rehabilitation unit, which has 6 beds.

MAIN PURPOSE:

  • To take overall responsibility for the effective management of all aspects of the service, ensuring the highest quality standards of care and treatment tailored to individual needs.
  • To lead, manage, and direct a multidisciplinary team aligned with Brainkind's Strategic Plan and individual needs.
  • To ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements and legislation, including maintaining registration as Registered Manager with CQC.

Job responsibilities

MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide professional leadership, hands-on management, and guidance to staff, influencing practices and attitudes.
  • Manage the senior management team and lead clinicians where appropriate, ensuring performance standards and budget responsibilities are met, including staffing levels and financial management.
  • Oversee recruitment, employment practices, and statutory responsibilities, including induction, training, and staff leave planning to ensure safe and effective service operation.

Qualifications
  • QCF (NVQ) Level 5 Diploma in Health and Social Care or equivalent qualification.
  • In-depth knowledge of statutory requirements such as CQC regulations and outcomes.
  • Minimum of 5 years managing registered care homes.
  • Valid UK Driving Licence.
